Brian forwarded me your email with questions regarding Danae's desire for a
short design meeting. As Danae mentioned, the design meeting she is trying
to schedule is just a usual step of ours. We do have the notes from your
Deep Dive meeting with Nathalie but that conversation primarily focussed
what was needed to complete the website so that we could quote an accurate
estimate of the work needed to create your site. This designer meeting
allows the designer to review the notes taken thus far and discuss with you
the finer details of the site design. This ensures that they understand the
vision of what you're trying to accomplish with your new website and that
the wireframes and proofs they're creating fulfill your needs prior to a
developer beginning to create the website.
In regards to your timeline question, typically from the time that we begin
the design process until the time that the new website is launched is 12-16
weeks. There are many factors affecting this timeline, but most parish
websites fall within this timeframe. I've attached another copy of the
website process that Nathalie sent you, that details the stages a site goes
through from design to development to launch.
