Q&A Session and Mass Times Changes

Hello Rochelle,

Thanks for sending along the list of names and emails! Everyone on that list should have received an email from webdepartment@diocesan.com with password reset instructions and links to training resources.

Our developer, Sam, was able to fix the permissions issues we encountered during training. You all have access to edit the menu and to delete posts, pages, staff members, and ministries. As for the mass times changes, I also spoke to our developer and we can make it so that you can set a distinct mass times schedule for each parish. Sam will have to spend some time modifying the code of the hybrid, though, so it would be an additional $275 charge. If you're interested, I can send along an approval form through Basecamp. Once you've approved Sam can get started on that work.

The Zoom info for your Q&A Session, next Wednesday at 11am EST is below:

What would that $275 actually get us? Father Tom wants to know what it would actually look like and what happens when there is mass at more than one location on a specific day.
TO THE CLIENT Maggie ONeill, Content Specialist at Diocesan
Good morning Rochelle,

So I spoke with our developer, Sam, and his suggestion would be to expand the mass times banner on the homepage to be larger. It would be laid out like the table pictured below, with the "Today" and "Tomorrow" blocks moved to the top of the banner and the names of each parish listed out vertically along the lefthand side. Attached is also a rough mock-up that Sam was able to put together. When he actually codes it into the site it will have the parish names (like the table) and will be refined to look neater.

He can also add an option to the mass times settings on the back end of the site to select the parish for each mass time entry, which will pull that info automatically into the mass times banner on the homepage and onto the mass times page. All of this would be included in the $275 quote, which covers the cost of the time that it will take for Sam to write, test, and incorporate those modifications into the code.

How does this sound?

Thanks and God bless,

Thank you. Yes that would be great. Father wanted to make sure that it would be clear and understandable before we spent the money on it.

Yes we approve that and the extra cost.
