Hi Rochelle,


I know we just got off the phone, but I wanted to send an email briefly outlining what we discussed. This way, there is nothing I forget to do on my end.

Corrections
  • Generations of Faith "click here to see what it's all about" goes to old site
    • Corrected (You may have to hold the "CTRL" key and click reload in order to "hard refresh"
  • Youth Ministry should be under "Ministries" for both parishes
  • The goal of the slider is to showcase events of BOTH parishes in a way that parishioners from both parishes will take notice. The slider will be used as a unifier of the parish.
    • Clickable events are wanted, but I need to double check with our web developer on the project (Michael)
  • Calendar is showing with dots, not full calendar with events (could also be an issue for parishioners with smaller screens)
    • If needed/last resort, we will combat this by having a list of events and a button with "Full Calendar" below. 
Training
The training (probably only with Rochelle) will take place on Tuesday, February 6 at 10:00 am EST. 

I will take care of these topics/issues and hopefully have them all resolved by our training on Tuesday. If you have any questions, or find any small changes you'd like, please feel free to get in contact with me.

I'm so sorry. Yes, our training is January 30. My boss just came by and told me we had a meeting on February 6, so I had that date on my mind. 

Adding videos and other content is something we will cover in your training. The following day, I will create a user account for you so that you can log in and edit what you need to.

Thank you for again for taking the time to go over the WordPress training. 
In addition to the training, here is what we discussed:
  • Admin Accounts 
    • Laura

    • Accounts will have access to add/delete/edit users
  • Contributor Accounts
    • Danielle (access to pages, posts, media, and Envira gallery/album ONLY)
  • Calendar
    • Show start time on grid
    • If there is not a way to show times, we will embed calendar similar to previous site
  • Second Meeting Date: TBA
  • Soft launch date will be determined at the end of second meeting
Also, I can create your username for the site today. Simply let me know what username you would like.

Also, I talked to Laura and I am going to set them up with an email account and start their calendar for her. I will let you know when I have done it.

Father will be calling you to set up a time for the others training, they are thinking about Tuesday Feb 6 at 9:30 if you are available. Danielle is currently out of the office with the flu so we are hoping she'll be back next week.

As for the training, I just got off the phone with Father. I actually have a meeting at from 10:30-12:30 that day, so I suggested 1:00 pm.

When you have set up the calendar, please let me know what the calendar ID is so that we may set up the calendar to pull from there.

If you have the time today, could you please send me the "Embed" code for Holy Spirit's Google calendar?
Here are the instructions on finding the code:
  1. In the top right, click the settings cog and settings
  2. On the left side fo the scree, click the name of the calendar you want to embed
  3. In the Integrate this Calendar section, copy the "iframe" code displayed
  4. Send this code to me.

Veronica,

I'm working on Holy Spirit's updates to the webpage. I have a question... under Holy Spirit Ministries I replaced MOMS with LIFT. but now I see by doing that I messed up the alphabetical order. Is there a way to just move it? I looked under menus and appearance but I couldn't figure it out. Can it be moved or do I have to delete it and add it where it properly goes?

To move the tabs, it is actually super simple! To move each tab and their information, you can simply click and drag them.

Once on the Ministry page, hover over the number on the left side (I hovered over 1 for this example).
Click • Download

Drag to Reorder • Download
