Holy Family Website Going Live
Hello Pam,
We are ready to take your Holy Family Catholic Church/School websites live! In order to take the website live, we will need to make some updates to your domain name. I am not sure who is in charge of hosting your domain name, but I know that it is currently hosted in GoDaddy. If you are in charge of the domain name, then I will include instructions for you to follow that will start the process. If somebody else is in charge of the domain name, just forward this email to them and let us know when the changes are made!
To facilitate the transition, all you will need to do is update two host records for holyfamilyshorewood.org. Updating the domain name will point the site to the new server.

You will need to make the following changes to your domain name host records:
Change the www and @ Host records to be A Name types that point to: 66.232.99.21
By changing only the www and @ Host records, you will update the website only and not your email.
The industry standard is to say these changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate. However, it's been my experience that you can usually see these changes within 2 hours.

Before we go live, I want to make sure all of the overlapping issues were corrected. I went to the links you gave us, and it still looked crowded. Also, Is there a way to make the school logo appear crisper?
I also want to send you the new church logo to include, and will do that on Monday.
Do you guys work with a company called blue rocket seo? We just received a bill from them.
I will forward your info listed below to Craig Kaufman, our tech guy, to switch things over to Diocesan.

I am working on spacing everything out to make it look better. I've made a couple changes to the homepage of the Parish site this morning. Let me know if that looks better.
I've tweaked the school logo to make it appear cleaner on the school page. Hopefully that looks better.
We do not work with Blue Rocket SEO. They are notorious for sending scam bills to companies that do not use their services, so we recommend ignoring their email.

I figured out how to get the table option to appear for you!
When you are looking at the editor, click on the button that I have highlighted above in blue. It should make a second row appear. Then click on the button highlighted in red, and you should be able to create a table/grid on any page that you would like.

I've added your logo to your website. The logo is very tall, so I had to shrink it down to get it to look good on top of the page. Let me know how that looks.
I will start taking the website live! It will go down for a bit while the servers adjust to the new domain, but it should be up by the end of the day today!

Our logo looks pixely on my computer, what can we do to sharpen it up?
Can you remove the old logo on the bottom of the page? You can leave our name there.
On Homepage: Can the text under each POST start right below each picture? Some text seems to be falling out of the frame.
I was still getting some overlapping of some of the text on the homepage when viewing on my on my ipad.
I will send out an email to our staff this week re: our new website. Is it okay to keep bugging you with button and tab changes, if those are needed?

I can create a new username and login for Susan that has access to the religious education pages. You can have as many users as you would like! I can restrict their access to just pages, but that will take me a bit more time to put together.

I changed the menu to show the Youth Ministry pages you requested. You can also change the menu whenever you want by going to Appearance -> Menus. That will let you move things around, delete menu items, and add new pages to the menu.
I'm still working on fixing the text issues you are seeing and the logo. I will let you know once I finish.
