Introduction and design!
Good Afternoon,
I am Samuel Lanning, I will be the designer working with you on your new site design! Hopefully we can find a time to talk about your vision for the project in the upcoming weeks.
I would only take around 30 minutes of your time, more if needed, to discuss the overall look and feel you're trying to achieve with the site. If you haven't already I suggest taking a look around the web for some ideas and features you like from sites, whether it be Catholic Churches or somethings like Nike. If you have a few In mind we can discuss the designs and functionality when we talk!

Hi Sam!
Thank you so much for the welcome email! In talking with Kevin we discussed many websites that we are drawn to for various reasons. I will try to sum it up here before we talk!
School Sites:
* mtctampa.org (http://mtctampa.org): Bright and crisp. I like the circular action buttons. It's a short homepage (not too much to scroll through)
* santacatalina.org/lower-school (http://santacatalina.org/lower-school): I like the News Feature in the middle of the homepage and the student testimonials. I like all their pictures of the students throughout the headers.
* caymaninternationalschool.org (http://caymaninternationalschool.org): The Fast Facts are fun! I don't know what ours would be, but I like the infographic.
* dcds.edu (http://dcds.edu): I like their ASK button on the side of the homepage
Bascially on our school site, I like the Upcoming Events set-up and the fact that parents can export our calendar to theirs on their phones so they are always connected with the happenings. I'm open to anything!
Church Sites:
* hsparish.org (http://hsparish.org): I love their homepage picture of the church with the Join Us for Mass (Mass Times). When people come to our site, that is usually what they are looking for and I love that it is first and foremost.
* ctkdallas.org (http://ctkdallas.org): I like their homepage picture which spreads across the whole screen and their navigation buttons at the top with their concise drop-down menus.
* allsaintsdunwoody.org (http://allsaintsdunwoody.org): I like the set-up of their calendar in the middle of the homepage
* holytrinityelo.org (http://holytrinityelo.org): I like their footer. The information is concise and not overbearing.
Basically on our site, I like the revolution slider for news and events, but we can work that in in a different way, but I strongly dislike our scrolling calendar on the homepage. I think things just seem to jumbled and need to be freshened up! I have never been apart of a process like this, so I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Good Morning! Would we be able to push this talk to next week!? I am leaving for a wedding on Thursday and would love the time to look through these notes you gave me as well as the note you and Kevin got when you two talked. I have some thing sim finishing up before I leave and I want to make sure I am as prepared as I can be when we talk!
