Design Approval

Hello Nichol,

Here is a quick brief of all the pages I have created for you during the design.

Here is a link to another proof display site we use to show the sites to clients. Let me know if you can get a better idea through here: http://prevue.link/0OwV

This is the best I can do at this moment to give you a better example of the site in the works. The "grow in faith" "faith formation" and "contact" links take you to the pages, and on the home page the "serve" button opens the menu.

Hello,

This is as detailed as I can manage. Many of these you are probably already planning on, but since I can’t see it until later I’d like to confirm that we’re on the same page.

Thank you, Nichol

Menu:

· Can the font color be red?

· Can the magnifying glass by larger and when you hover over it say “search” or “click here to search”?

· Change “serve” to “ministries”

Drop Down Menu:

· Will this open when hover like https://stlouischurchmphs.org/ ?

· Can background be red, headings as-is in grey, and submenu items in white like https://stlouischurchmphs.org/ ?

Mass Times Bar:

· Can this be just like my mockup? We like the bell, not the clock, and words/layout as shown.

[cid:image002.jpg@01D48021.AE3964A0]

Upcoming Events:

· Will this be like our model https://saintjohnjackson.org/ with white frame and shadow plus animation?

Rotators (top and middle):

· Are there unlimited images?

· Confirm that we’ll have the capability of adding words on top of image like https://sacredheartfla.org/ for the top rotator and a fly-in animation option like https://ccfoundationhz.org/ for the middle rotator.

RSS Feed Blocks:

· Can pictures be framed and shadowed with same animation as upcoming events section?

Quick Links:

· How flexible is this section? Can I add or take away icons and words as needed? What is the maximum? Perhaps take away the word “quick link” and icon to give more room?

· Can these have animation when hover like https://sainttims.org/ ? What color would it change to when hover?

· Are there icons to choose from that correspond to the app?

Address Bar:

· Photo behind words, change to color.

· Can we add red icons like https://ccfoundationhz.org/ , but use the fb logo and app logo underneath like https://stlouischurchmphs.org/ ?

· Use cross logo on bottom (did you receive my files)?

· Bulletin and Contacts more to the right and bulletin full image. See https://saintjohnjackson.org/ for scale of bulletin (move to far right) and contact us will be second to right, and NOTHING will be third to the right.

· Underline “contact us” and “bulletin” as shown in mock up, as well as a note “send your message” under contact and “view more” under bulletin.

Very bottom band:

· Change to @2019

· Use Diocesan logo in text like https://stlouischurchmphs.org/ but with red heart.

Secondary pages:

· Please use this scale for the photo band that rolls behind the placeholder https://sacredheartfla.org/ . I like that you can see a little more of the photo.

Good morning,

Thanks for everything here! I do have a few comments about some that may not work, other that those I will make the changes and send you back a proof to see the final when these are finished.

Menu:
The color change is fine, I have done the changes for that. I have noted a to-do for the magnifying glass animation for our developers.

Drop Down:
Yes the menu will open on hover.
I will have to say no to the grey you reference does not work with the red background requested. I would suggest white for the color of the text for the red background to work.

Mass Times:
This is fine, no more comments for mass times

Upcoming Events:
This will be modeled after st. john Jackson, I don't think we need the white frame, it is a bit gaudy and clunky for the site.

Rotators (Sliders):
No there is not unlimited images, We use a a range of 4-6 as the maximum amount of images for any slider. Most visitors don't get through more than 4 images before moving to a new page.

you will be fine with the animation and text overlays.

Quick Links:
This section is fairly flexible, we will be able to get icons for links if you need them. We also use a program that can pull icons into the site for you, veronica or whomever trains you will show you how to use it.

Color would change to yellow/gold on hover.

Address Bar:
Picture is already set in color, to match your design request from earlier there is a dark grey overlay so the foreground content doesn't get lost no matter the image that is present in the background.

We can add the red icons no problem. Same with the social icons.

Made adjustments to the footer "contact" and bulletins"
The button already says send under the contact us, small buttons are easier to fit.

Very Bottom:

The date is controlled by the wordpress, you don't need to worry about that, it will automatically change when the year rolls over.

We don't ever use our logo at the bottom with the copy right and made with "heart" section. I don't suggest using it, i don't know why st. Louis has it that way.

I am making notes of any animation based items for our developer so they know what they need to do with each item!

Thanks,

Samuel Lanning

Hi,

Thank you, this great. I’m looking forward to seeing new proofs.

No problem on the grey for the menu, I’ll wait to see what you come up with to make the headings pop.

So no frames for upcoming events and rss feed photos? Can we at least have it shadowed underneath?

4-6 rotators are fine, I think we currently have 8 but even I realize it’s too many.

On the address bar with the photo, the dark grey overlay is too dark. We like it like this one: https://sainttims.org/ I’ll wait to see what the rest looks like in your revised proof. Is this something I’ll eventually have the capability to work on myself?

Will you do a new proof for the secondary pages too? You didn’t comment on that so maybe you were already planning on it.

Blessings, Nichol

Hello and Happy Advent!

Just checking in since it’s been a couple weeks. Do you have some new proofs?

Thanks, Nichol
TO THE CLIENT Sam Lanning
Good Morning,

I'm working on finishing up the proofs today, I don't know where the cross logo is but if you send it to me again I can add it to the proof before it goes to developers.

Thanks,

You dont happen to happen to have an AI file for the logo do you?

No I don’t, I’m sorry. Can you create one for us?

I can do that! yes.

Hi,

Just saw the new proofs. I don’t see a lot of difference. How much can I change on my own and what is set in stone? For example the secondary pages are exactly the same every time but I would like the photo band much taller. The bottom address bar is only partially changed as well. I don’t know if what I’m asking is not possible, or if you forgot, or disagree with what I’m asking? If I click approve, I want to be assured that I’ll still be able to make these changes or at least have some discussion about them on why another way is better. Does the next person I’ll work have the ability to tweak these too?

Please advise.

Thank you, Nichol
TO THE CLIENT Sam Lanning
No I can make the change to the proofs before we move on, but you will have some freedom to change things but we don't want to change the overall structure of the site. We use some pretty cool features to allow for some module functions for content organization.

You will have control of how the content fits and sits on the site for the most part. But the base structure and layout we want fixed to the most part. You will be able to speak with our developer to change things if you really need to.

How big do you want the Images to be on the inner pages? You are talking about the title banners with the page names in them correct?

I do remember changing the address bar by adding the cross and the red icons, moving the bulletin and contact us to be more on the right of the page and reducing the backgrounds transparency. I don't want to risk losing the content in the foreground (Address, logo, contact form, bulletin) By reducing the transparency too much and being unable to read it.

What are your concerns with the current design, I can help ease those concerns by explaining why you should or should do certain things if that helps at all.

Thanks,

Samuel

Good Afternoon Nichol,

I wanted to know if you received my last email with the updated title photo? I would love to talk about the design if there was anything else that you thought I missed or if anything else needed to be changed.

Ok great, thanks. I’m ok now thank you, I had a weird electrolyte imbalance. Gatorade is now my best friend.

Good Morning,

Could you send me new links to the most current images so that I can work on this today. I just spent an hour trying to figure out what email you were answering and I’m totally confused on which email had all the links to the latest version you are working from. Some of the links I saved are giving me error messages.

Please always include my original email in your response. That would make this process so much easier for me. I’m sorry, but basecamp is completely useless.

Thank you, Nichol
FROM THE CLIENT Nichol Swift, Saint Gregory the Great Staff
Yes, that looks much better, thank you.

This is how basecamp was meant to be used. I understand your frustration with basecamp but we use it to keep record of all the conversations taking place.

The last email I sent was on December 6th so you could look up that date as well.

here are all the proofs as well.

Thanks, and again I'm sorry about basecamp causing so much frustration.
