My name is Cody Armock and my role here in Diocesan's web department is as a content specialist. This means, that in addition to going over what areas of your current website are staying or going, I also help you find the most effective way to layout your website. I will be helping you, in this process, from now until the training before the launch of the site.

This not only helps us build you a website that is easier to edit and manage but also allows anyone visiting your website to accurately and consistently find the information for which they are looking.

Below is a link to a live Google document of your current sitemap that you are able to edit directly. Please go through this sitemap and make the appropriate edits to display what pages you'd like Diocesan to migrate, as well as removing the items that you do NOT want Diocesan to move.

Once you have completed editing the pages you'd like Diocesan to migrate, please let me know and we will begin making a suggested sitemap for the new site based off of your current sitemap. The suggested sitemap is created to optimize the flow and look of your site. We will then send you the suggested sitemap to edit and change as needed and when finished, approve it.

Once you approve the suggested sitemap and the site is nearly completely built, we will begin the content migration process. Migrating your content from the old site to the new one.

Dear Veronica, first of all thank you so much for your patience and persistence on this project of creating our new website. I am so sorry for my delinquency in responding to you. I will admit that I am not well versed in technology so these files you have been sending me are a little confusing, until I see what the website is actually going to look like I am lost. That being said I tried to change a few things and I hope it did not mess you up.

On the site map I would like to see Faith Formation & Education not listed under Ministries but instead put in place of homilies. I don’t know where you can put the homilies but it does not need to prominent at this point because they are not being kept up to date.

No worries, we understand that things are always hectic and right now is no exception. 

The Suggested Sitemap we sent over to you us the menu layout and general structure of the website. This answers what pages we are migrating and what category they belong to. 

Your changes are correct and for now, I have moved Homilies archive to the bottom under "Things not in the menu" so we can link to them for now and find a place for them in the menu at a later date. 

I'll mark your suggested sitemap as ready for migration. We'll reach out to you as we migrate your content and if we have any questions.
