Development Link and Training

Good morning Father Basso and Staff,

We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.

Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email.

Is there a time next week that works for you all to devote a two hour block to getting you all trained up on the site?

During the training sessions, we go over:
  • How to edit the homepage content
  • How to edit the footer
  • How to edit the menu
  • How to create/edit inner pages
  • How to create/edit posts
  • How to create/edit image galleries
  • How to create/edit online forms
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into two sessions:

Session 1: Editing the site basics
Session 2: Editing the additional site features & answering follow-up questions

This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.

Development Site Link
Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development!

Other than that, if you see anything that alarms you (design or functionality), please let me know and we can address your concerns.

Dear Ryan:

Thank you for the notice below. I do have some questions and suggestions (very simple) to add to the site. Should I plan to be part of the training and make the suggestions at that time?
Kathleen

Ryan,
Also, if I were to send a photographer to St. Francis, can we replace the photo on the homepage with something similar of the church at St. Francis?
FROM THE CLIENT Mary Diaz, Francis Xavier - Live Oak, FL Staff
Dear Ryan Hoch,

My preference would be between 11am and 2pm or after 5pm. But I can take off from work and I am available Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday all day, Thursday afternoon and Friday all day.

Dear Mr. Gordon, Mr. Robert, Luis, and Fr. Tony, please respond to all with your availability, we wish you to be a part of this training.

I also have a few comments on the website, would it be appropriate for the meeting or should I email them beforehand?

Call me if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mary Diaz

Yes to both questions. We can update any photos at any time as with anything you see on the site. After the first training you will be able to make those changes also. We could also make some of those changes in the training as well. Go ahead and send that over now and I will prioritize what's done ahead of time and what could be incorporated into the training.

Hello All,

I spoke with my project manager Arthur Richardson (copied on this email), we are unable to accommodate a training session past 5pm. We would be happy to schedule a training as late as 3pm. From looking at the availability sent yesterday, Friday after 10am works for the majority of your team. This training will be recorded and can be viewed by the members of your team unable to attend due to availability conflicts.

I can be available from 8am until 3pm to start the two hour session. We are unable to accommodate trainings that last past 5pm. If next week doesn't work well we can look into the following week as well.

I am happy to accommodate your schedules as best we can within the above mentioned time frames. I appreciate your understanding in this regard.

Mary,

I spoke with Father Basso on the phone this morning and he asked that I coordinate directly with you to get a time set for Friday February 18th 2022. I am available to start the straining from 8am until 3pm that day. Seemed like after 10am that day worked for 3 of the 5 members of the team. Is there a specific time that works best for you? Fr. Basso mentioned making it work based off your schedule.

Thank you,

I don't seem to have the names and email of all who attended our training today. The only ones in the system are Mary, Fr. Basso, and Kathleen.

What I need:

Gordon Beattie: Email
Robert: Last name, Email
Father Basso, First Name
Luis: Last name, Email
Deacon: First and Last Name, Email

As soon as I get these I will send out those user names. Thank you!

All,

I went ahead and created user roles for everyone. I went ahead and made everyone a parish admin because it wasn't clear to me who needed/wanted what. In our meeting next week I will adjust those that need to be adjusted. Please let me know if you need anything or are having issues.

Thanks again,
