Francis de Sales - Cincinnati, OH

New Website Design Proofs

Hi Phil & Bonnie,

I finished some design proofs for the new website project and I wanted to go over them with you. If you could give me a call, at your convenience, or let me know when would be a good time for me to call you that would be great. I'd love to show you them and walk you through the design process.

Looking forward to speaking with you and showing the proofs!  Talk to you soon.

Hi Blake,

I could be flexible for a call tomorrow morning if that works. I'm not sure about Bonnie yet and also if you wanted to have us both on the call at the same time, or individually. If at the same time, we'd have to arrange for a screen share and time that works for both. I would like to do something tomorrow so that I can show something Wednesday at the Parish Council meeting.

I have tried to email and call the CincinnaitiRefined but have not gotten a response from them yet. I will stay on that.

Hi Phil,

I know you wanted to be able to have something to show the Parish Council on Wed. so tomorrow will work for me as well. I'm flexible all day tomorrow, so if we want to have it so you both can see it I am fine with that. Just let me know what works best for you guys and we can go from there. Talk to you soon.

Thanks!

Hi Phil,

Yes we can do a meeting at 1:30. Would this be all of us? Meaning should I set up a zoom meeting?

Hi Blake,

I demonstrated the look of the website to parish council last night and have approval to move forward, but I do have some considerations that have come out of followup discussions. I would like you to review the and consider adjustments where they make sense and can be accomplished.

Here are the items:

* The navigation overall looks good. We would like to see a different look on the dropdown menu where you have alternating blue items. I got the sense that maybe we are relying too heavily on blue and need to back off of that somewhat. Also, the alternating dark and light blue could get annoying on a longer dropdown list. I can find some suggested examples of something else if needed
* Home Page Primary photo -- in our initial design discussion of the wire frame, we had discussed that this would be a 3 stage carousel with a 4-5 second delay to the next sequence. Is that still the plan and not shown in this prototype? We just want to make sure the ability if built in the working website.
* There is a feeling that there is a little too much blue. We are in favor of bringing the brown back in the logo and perhaps considering using that in the site. We'd be interested in seeing what the site might look like with perhaps that brown in either the Titles or the buttons, but not both. I don't want to put you to too much trouble, but perhaps we could see the home page with a couple versions of this to determine how to move forward.
* on the six-gang photo/nav section on the home page, we'd like to see those with some padding between them or border. We feel the 3 at the bottom stand apart more. When you look at the mobile view, the six really run together because there is also not padding. Pehaps some subtle border would work. Again if he had a couple renderings of this on the home page, I think we could make a quick decision
* Lastly, some were questioning the fonts - the text could have more of a presence, maybe a little bigger, or use all caps somewhere, italics, as well as a complementary text in the mix. Something to give dimension & movement. I realize we can change fonts on our own, but if we could tweak these going in before it is created, it would make it smoother going forward.

Let us know if you have questions and if you could take a stab at some of these adjustments.

Thanks. If you need to discuss, I could be available for a call today.

Hi Blake,

I wanted to reach out to check on the status of the buildout of the St. Francis de Sales website. I know it is not technically in the design phase now, but I have not heard any sort of update on the status of the site. Is there a timeline that has been set or is in progress towards the build of the site?

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for reaching out to us. My coworker Veronica, who is the content specialist, will be sending you a message soon to give you an update progress timeline. I believe you guys already worked with her in regards to the emails. She will be able to give you better idea on the development schedule and timeline. Thanks for the patience!

Best,
