Website Updates
Good morning ladies,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend because Launch Week is here!
I wanted to start off by letting you know that the website should (for the most part) be ready for you to go in and edit.
Templates
Something we did not go over during the training is that when you edit a page, the Template should be "Default" unless you are wanting to create a tabbed page (such as Ministries), in which case, please select "Secondary" for your template:
To add tabs to the Secondary Template, click "Add Row" to the Sidebar Widget:
Once you click "Add Row" it will open up another editor where you can give the tab a title (Item Title) and content (Item Content). Icons are not used.
Then click "Update" to save the changes.
myParish App
One thing I have noticed is that you have not yet posted any messages on St. Frances' myParish App. The messages will show up on your website, so it is very important that there are at least one or two messages by this weekend. Some messages you may want to include are Ash Wednesday Mass times, special Confession times, or maybe even a reminder to subscribe to Diocesan's Lenten Reflection Blog (https://diocesan.com/dailylent/).
If you have not yet logged into the myParish App Dashboard, please call our App Department at 800-997-8805 and they can give you a quick explanation of how it all works.

Throughout the rest of the week, you may notice that we will begin fixing items as we go. We have a list of items we still need to fix but please let us know what you notice. We do not always find every little thing that needs to change, as most of the "errors" we find as we are using the site.
With such a short timeline for the project, we will gladly accept your list of to-dos from us as well!

I am currently changing the staff page so right now it isn't visible. But perfect timing! I will add these names.
As for the Parish Staff role, what do you want the limitations to be? I believe we had discussed them having the same access as you but without the ability to add/edit users. Does that sound correct?

Yes, Sherri and Mary will be able to change things on the site but will not be able to add/edit users.

The user role "Parish Staff" is created. When adding a new user, be sure to set them as "Parish Staff" (as seen below)

What progress we've made!
For the most part, I think we are done with the website.
Templates
"Secondary" will create the tabs, as on your ministries page.
For the "Default Template" we did add a couple of things for you to edit in the "Flexible Content" area. When you click "Add Row", there will be three options: Button Row, Masonry and Visual Editor
Button Row
An example of "Button Row" can be found on the Faith Formation page:
Masonry
Masonry will create something that can be found on Diocese of Venice, Fl (http://dioceseofvenice.org/about/):
Visual Editor
Just as your normal text editor on each page, this has all your text editing needs, but you can add 1-3 columns. An example of this is your Clergy & Staff page.
NEED FROM YOU
One thing I still need from you guys is your link/code for FORMED.org. This is important since it is in the footer.
Lastly, thank you so much for everything!
I know everything has come together at the last second, but I think it all looks great! If you see anything that we need to fix, please let us know. We will work on it ASAP.
Also, I know a lot of things have changed since our training, so if you need to quickly go over the new things, we can do that too.
