Questions Odds & Ends

Mostly for Danae, but open to anyone I'm looking for insight...

1) There's a Calendar mockup in the XD Development pages, shows content and a sidebar on the right with other dated events.  Is this a new feature?  If so, do we need to create an event system to handle these?  If not, where on their current site are events? (I couldn't identify any dated material - just posts in a category named "News and Events")

Yes, the Calendar and News and Events are new features to be added to their website. I don't know exactly which kind of calendar they are going to use. Either Google or Outlook I'd assume. I'll have Arthur inquire.

2) The Bell notification icon and Media Gallery icon on the Home page.  Are those supposed to be fixed on the screen?  Or are they positioned absolutely as shown within the maroon quick links box?

They will scroll with the page.

2b) Closure notification - Is that a new thing needing to be developed?  I did not see any existing mechanics with the existing site for such a closure notification.

We have a few sites with it setup. KB developed a few sites with that function. I believe it's in our demo sites too.
