Hello again Violet,

I'm catching up on my emails since I was out of the office Friday and had a
day full of meetings yesterday, so I apologize for all these emails coming
through at once.

We have put together the quote for this item but want to make sure we are
on the same page in terms of functionality.

Questions:

1. Will this appear only on the homepage? *Our current emergency alert
plugin and *https://holyspiritchurch.us/ *both do this, as it is the
best practicces guidelines. Yes, only on the homepage.*
2. Will you want both a Close button AND an optional "Read More" button
or will the content have all links necessary? *I suggest only having the
content links so it is not confusing that there are both links and buttons
that may or may not go to different places. Just the close button. The
content will have all the links necessary.*
3. When closed, does the red bell on the left side of the screen suffice
or do you prefer a different icon? *We do not suggest adding text since
it will pop up the next time someone visits the homepage anyways and you
will already be having a lot of text and content on your homepage. Can we
have this anywhere on our page? What are the location options? *

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Good Morning Veronica,

Thanks for testing it out before implementing it. I agree. Holy Spirit
has quite a few more features like several links and adding an image within
the body of the text. ie the QR code.

Appreciate it.

Hi Violet,

Here is how the plugin currently works in the backend:

The content area does not allow for links or images (just text currently)
and has a maximum of 400 characters.

That said, I don't think this current plugin layout is going to work for
y'all so I will talk to the developer and get a quote for rebuilding the
plugin for those specific display/options.

Veronica,

Does the plug in allow us to design it like Holy Spirit? Will it give us
all the 6 options as shown on the link you sent? Can we disable the ‘don’t
show again’ feature?

Also, with Holy Spirit, they have 2 options to close the pop-up: The X at
the top right corner and the close button. We’d like to have both as well.

If the plug-in you recommend has all the features as Holy Spirit, then
Father gave the green light.

Thanks for your help with this.

The plugin would be a flat-rate $35, but could be added as soon as
tomorrow!

Hello Veronica,

Thanks for getting back with me. In addition, please. Hopefully, we can
have both the scrolling ticker and the popup. Not at the same time, of
course; but the option to use either.

Is this something we can implement now? Will there be a cost?

Thanks,

Violet

Hi Violet,

We can most definitely add this. Is this going to be in addition to your
(under menu) ditty ticker message or will it be replacing that bar?

Here is an example of the emergency popup that we have created:
https://shdemo.diocesanweb.org/emergency-alert-options/

You can click each of the images to see different examples of how it can
look (with or without image, with or without button, etc) and it will be
something you can turn on and off.

Let me know if this is something that will work for y'all!
