2022 Website Updates
Good afternoon Violet,
Thank you for meeting with Arthur and me to go over the proposals.
The Mockup Proposal is the cost to create a design for the updates and the XD file. The XD file is the design of the updates allowing you to view them as a desktop view, tablet view, and mobile view. You will have the opportunity to discuss the design with the designer. Any change requests to the design could incur an additional cost. The timeline to create the XD file is approximately 2 weeks. Additional conversations regarding the design could impact the length of the project - keep in mind that development can't begin until the design is approved. If the conversations begin to slow the process, we will advise of the impact to the timeline.

Given the amount of work being done, we are estimating around 6 weeks of development work. There was a fantastic example brought up in our meeting about renovations. These estimations are if everything goes smoothly and perfectly. Just like a renovation, once we begin updating a website there is a possibility of hidden complications. Anything major that impacts the timeline will be brought up for discussion.

We met with Fr. B and to redesign our home page based on the estimates provided is expensive. Thus, at this time we will not be doing the homepage redesign or the mobile flip middle section.
He is still very much interested on what you have listed as the ‘menu work’. However, we are trying to save on cost. So rather than removing the
“Mass Schedule, Hours & Directions, Contact Us, and Donate” menu items from being displayed when you click on a menu item with a caret, he wants to know if you can change the color of these menu items to BLUE text with the same white background as the top instead. He wants these 4 menu items to have the same effects as the icon when you click on them.
I hope this makes sense. Please call me and we can discuss further.
Lastly, 1 more question: if we change the color of these menu items as described above, does the color change affect the look of the website on a desktop?
