Development Link And Training

Good afternoon All,

We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.

Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email. Trainings are scheduled Monday through Friday 9am-2pm Eastern Time. Please let me know when you are available. 

During the training sessions, we go over:
  • How to edit the homepage content
  • How to edit the footer
  • How to edit the menu
  • How to create/edit inner pages
  • How to create/edit posts
  • How to create/edit image galleries
  • How to create/edit online forms
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into three parts:

Session 1: Editing the site basics
Video Tutorials: Gravity Forms and Envira Gallery
Session 2: Answering follow-up questions and scheduling launch

This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.

Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development.

Other than that, if you see anything that alarms you (design or functionality), please let me know and we can address your concerns.

Hello, Ryan -

We are stretched a little thin at the parish office, with vacations and illness, etc. (like everyone else!) - but I would very much like to schedule time with your team about the backend management of the site. I can come in tomorrow (Friday 6/4) if you can arrange it on short notice. The next opportunity might be in a few weeks after my own vacation time. I can train our core staff accordingly, to their schedules.

My review was positive. Thank you for all of the work your team has done to arrange for access of information.
* My first and only real recommendation is that we put the church address on the footer, rather than the church office where bulletins are delivered. The church address is: 1401 W. Country Club Boulevard, Citrus Springs, FL 34434.

Other questions are:
1) Are all back (children) pages formatted for text only, or are there graphic addition options?
2) The parish calendar is the link to Google Calendars, right?
3) Returning "Home" from a back page is problematic - I noted that this is accomplished by activating the St. Elizabeth icon at the left top of any page, but it may not be obvious to the web viewer. Suggestions?
4) We spoke at the beginning of attaching staff emails, i.e. pastor@stelizabethcs.org (mailto:pastor@stelizabethcs.org) etc. to our domain development. Please advise.
