Domain Transfer & New Emails

Hello Father,


As we have moved closer to a viewing point, I wanted to get the ball rolling on transferring your domain and creating your email accounts.

Domain Transfer
Diocesan currently owns the .org domain, did you plan on moving the .com to Diocesan or simply removing it and only using the .org website?
In my experience, people like to have both just so anyone typing in .com or .org will end up at the correct site, regardless. It is up to you.

I have a funeral tomorrow at 11:00. Can we reschedule our meeting? How about Wednesday morning?
I wouldn’t mind moving .com to Diocesan, but there has been some trouble doing that in the past.

I received the spreadsheet and will work on that soon.

We can most definitely reschedule. However, I will be in a training from 9-11:30 am on Wednesday, then out of the office on Thursday and Friday.
Is there another time that works for you?

I am also free this afternoon if you have the time today.

The nice thing about moving to Diocesan is that we can do this after the launch, so that there is no disruption, even if the process is delayed for whatever reason. Additionally, once it has been transferred to Diocesan, all your domains are under one company and easy to find, transfer back, and manage.

Transfer aside, do we plan on forwarding the .com to the .org once we launch the .org website? That way anyone that goes to the .com will immediately be forwarded to new website at .org. Or did we want to abandon the .com?

If you have any questions about the spreadsheet or anything else, please let me know.

OK. Will this be more training or just a final look at the website before launch? Will the others who will be administrators need to be there?

For the most part, it will be discussing launch date and the launch process. However, if anyone has questions or is having trouble editing the website, Monday would be the time to ask questions since after the launch, support calls will be $50/hr (prorated).
