Content Strategy

Good morning Meegan and Michelle,


I hope you have been doing well since you last spoke with Blake.

My name is Cody Armock and my role here in Diocesan's web department is as a content specialist. This means, that in addition to going over what areas of your current website are staying or going, I also help you find the most effective way to layout your website. I will be helping you in this process from now until the training before the launch of the site.

This not only helps us build you a website that is easier to edit and manage but also allows anyone visiting your website to accurately and consistently find the information for which they are looking.

Below is a link to a live Google document of your current sitemap that you are able to edit directly. Please go through this sitemap and make the appropriate edits to display what pages you'd like Diocesan to migrate, as well as removing the items that you do NOT want Diocesan to move.

Once you have completed editing the pages you'd like Diocesan to migrate, please let me know and we will begin making a suggested sitemap for the new site based on your current sitemap. The suggested sitemap is created to optimize the flow and look of your site. We will then send you the suggested sitemap to edit and change as needed and when finished, approve it.

I have also added this link to a Google Drive Folder, so that you can upload any files (Images, PDFS, Documents, Content, etc.) that you would like to have on the website or documents that contain copy/content for the website. If you click the New button on the left side, you can upload files and/or folders and we will be able to see and use those for the website.

Good morning Meegan & Michelle,


I went through your current sitemap and created a suggested sitemap for us to both work off of, based on the new design. 

I know that some things are duplicated (donate, donor stories, etc.) but I wanted to leave them and allow you to edit where you'd like them to go.

Once you have gone through the suggested sitemap, please let me know. As the development site is built out, we will go through and begin setting up the following:
  • Pages (Diocesan will create empty pages in order to set up the menu, even though you will be completing the migration & content portion)
  • Homepage
  • Menu
  • Post Categories
  • Footer Information
  • Styles Page (Diocesan will create a page with examples of the custom blocks we discussed in design)
Once we have gone through the first training session, you will have editing access to begin completing the pages of your new website.
