Project Update

Good afternoon Brandon and Kathleen,
 
I wanted to provide you a current update of the project and what will be happening next. 
 
Updating a website that we did not build can always be challenging. There are many variables that come into play with some not appearing until after work has begun. Such is the case with your site. After reviewing your site we had initially determined that the work required to make the changes would be 28 hours. We are unfortunately over those quoted hours. Our developer encountered some roadblocks once he began making the changes, which resulted in additional time. In addition to some changes to the scope of the project once it had begun. 
 
Due to the fact that the development roadblocks were not the fault of the diocese, but instead were encountered after work had begun, Diocesan is going to cover those costs to stay within our budgeted amount of $3750 (not including possible additional work for the new slider layout). We have enjoyed our partnership with the diocese and look forward to working with you in the future.
 
Regarding the next step, I do know that Veronica will be sending the approval for the new slider layout.  Once we get your approval, we will move forward with the new layout.
