Project Update
Good afternoon,
Periodically, we like to send our clients a recap of their project from a time & cost perspective. Initially, we had quoted a price of $3570 (51 hours x $70hr) for website creation.
We arrived at that price by breaking the web project down as follows:
- Design: 17 hours budgeted/22.5 hours used
- Build: 28 hours budgeted/0 hours used
- Content Migration: 6 hours budgeted/0 hours used
This brings our current cost to $1575.
Although we are over budget in design hours, we believe that the design phase is the most important and any time taken to update and create the mockups will save time in development.
Our goal with these design hours is to remove the guesswork from the developer's plate. This way, our in-depth conversation and design time allow the developer to have a complete sense of what he is building the first time around, ensuring fewer hours are used when building. He will also have our detailed notes on functionality from our design meetings.

Thanks for the update, Veronica. I agree with your assessment. If we can nail down our design elements, the development process should hopefully go smoothly.
