I pray you had a nice Thanksgiving holiday and I'm sure a well-deserved time off.
I just wanted to check in with you to see how we're doing on website development and if there is anything more you need from our end, or if the developer has any questions?
I will be in the office all this week and some of next week, but will be leaving again on vacation on Friday, December 11, so I'm hoping the site could be somewhat ready for re-launch by then perhaps? What are your thoughts?

Good morning Brandon,
I had a lovely Thanksgiving, thank you. I hope both you and Kathleen (cc'd) had a blessed one as well.
The developer hasn't had any questions as of yet but has been diligently working on your website's updates over the last couple of weeks and is getting very close to the final product. As he continues, he may run into some functionality questions and we will reach out to you as they arise.
Our hope is to have some links with test pages (matching mockups) to send you at the end of this week and hopefully schedule a training session for early next week. However, since your team is doing much of the content creation/migration, I am not sure if your team would have ample time for all aspects of the site to be up and running by December 11.
Some things that may help expedite the process begin with the questions below:
- Has your team talked to the interior ministries/offices concerning the staff (order & information), social media, newsletter signups, and content they plan on having on each of their homepages?
- Are each of their individual menus staying the same dropdowns or will the menus be reordered and updated?
- Will they be utilizing one of the new mega menu layouts from the start (versus keeping dropdown menus and changing to mega menu later on)? I suggest creating a sitemap similar to the one I sent for the main site. Let me know if you would like a sample Ministry sitemap to base them on.
- Are your WordPress pages already set up with parent/child page relationships? (important for the In This Section area to function properly)
- Do you know which pages will have specific links in the In This Section area? (Ex: Bishop's page may have a manually added link to his Twitter in the In This Section area)
- What content will be on your homepage (if any different)?
As for re-launch, we may need to discuss when it is best to go about implementing these items since we are implementing, as Ryan put it, "some sort of surgery by updating the theme" rather than switching to a new website.
I will keep you updated on the status and send those development links over to you once we are ready to go.

I also wanted to note that creating a list of launch priorities may be helpful. For example, the homepage and main site menu will most definitely be a top priority, perhaps followed by ministry/office homepage, while ministry/office menus, staff, and inner page content may be able to wait until after the initial launch to be completed.
