I have compiled your current sitemap. Please take a few moment and strike through the pages you think you no longer need in the menu. This doesn't mean the content disappears, we are just trying to consolidate the menu. We can link the pages we 'eliminate' on other pages themselves without having them in the menu. (blue text on sitemap example). Additionally if you'd like to reorder things please do that as well. 

 

I will strategize with my team the best way to go about creating a proposed sitemap but in the meantime if there are any pages that you feel can be consolidated or eliminated please reflect that on the attached document. This will greatly assist me in creating the proposed sitemap.

 

We also want to avoid redundancies whenever possible. An example of that is the "holding ourselves accountable" is listed in the menu both under Our Diocese as well as its own menu item. We would only need this in one spot. In this instance having a parent page (first level menu item) of holding ourselves accountable is most appropriate and eliminating it under our diocese makes the most sense to me. Hopefully this will give you a better understanding of the thought process going into the making of your proposed site map.

 

This is going to be a long process and we will make many changes and edits as we go. Nothing is concrete and even after an approved sitemap is decided upon we can make tweaks as needed. This sitemap is merely a structure mechanism to help me organize content.
