Good morning Jennifer,


I just sent you a quick intro to Basecamp just so you were aware of why and how we are using it.  I am sending this message to let you know that our developer will be uploading his changes today since the Facebook issue took us longer than anticipated.

We seem to have worked it out, although we need two things to continue:
  1. Facebook Access Token
    Please follow these instructions to obtain the access token for your CathedralCTK Facebook page and send it out way.
  2. Permission to Purchase Facebook Plugin
    We have been looking for and testing all the Facebook plugins we can, and it seems as though this is the best option, both price and feature-wise. The plugin we have decided to go with is the Custom Facebook Feed Pro with a one-time fee of $49. We have used the generic, free version on other sites, but the Pro/paid version is needed to display images, videos, and (more importantly) a list of just events.
If you could please get back to me about these two items, we will get everything set up and working perfectly!

If it helps, you can give us the login information to access the Facebook page (presumably the editor's account information) and we can get the access token for you.

Additionally, we need the login information for Flocknote so we can change the subscribe button at the bottom to feed directly into Flocknote.

We have gotten both the Facebook posts and events on the homepage of the website! I'm glad you gave me the admin access, because it was a lot harder than it should have been and took me and 2 developers to figure it out. 

We are working on making the events more of a list and will change the Flocknote subscribe button on Monday, since we will need an email and password to log into that account and create a subscribe button. 

For now, do you have any other questions?

Site Migration

Ah, okay. I read it more as Diocesan setting up the site for you to migrate information. As for the 2030 Somethings site, I migrated it because it was literally only 3 pages.

Would you like Diocesan to migrate all of the Youth website? If so, I think it will take an estimated 3 hours more than we had priced out for you. Otherwise, your staff will be able to migrate it once you are trained.

Sidebars

Since each of the sub-sites now have their own menus, do you still want the inner pages to have sidebars/sidebar buttons? 

Landing Page Info

The main thing I wanted to discuss with you was the landing pages for each of the sites. Right now, we have changed the main background image (you can change it whatever you would like, but this made it easier for us to differentiate between the 4 sites), but there are many areas of each landing page that needs to be determined.

I have linked 3 Google Docs that you can edit with the information we need to complete the individual sites. 

If you have any questions, we can go over them tomorrow. I will be in the office from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Also, how long does it take for updates on our google calendar to appear on the website? I just added an event but I don't see it on there.

The website automatically syncs the calendar every 2 hours. 
We may be able to set it to sync more often, but this would slow the site down.
