New Christ the King Website Project
Hi Emily,
My name is Blake Stapleton, I am going to be the designer working with you on the new Christ the King website project.
I wanted to reach out to you to introduce myself and to get some of the design questions I had answered, and to go over some previous notes you talked about with my coworker Kevin. I am going to begin the design portion of the project so I wanted to go over some of that with you before I started or got to far along.

Hi Blake! My day catching up was taken over by outputting our bulletin yesterday. I’m actually leaving town again tomorrow to fly to Illinois, you’ve caught me in a very unusual period that I’m traveling twice within a week’s time – I really don’t travel much otherwise! Hi Blake, I hope you had a nice weekend! It was fun to see what you’ve come up with so far, we are on the right track. Hopefully you are off for Veterans’ Day today. We technically are, but wanted to get over to you a couple of my homework items…
1. FONTS:
I think that “Amiri” may be the serif I’m looking for. While I like the Source Serif Pro as all caps in the menu, I don’t love the lowercase… I think it is a little too rounded. I think Amiri will be perfect, much closer to the Minion Pro font I use for our materials. Could we try that? For the sans serif/body text font can we see “Lato” please?

Also, please remove comma so that it is just “12:30pm & 5:30pm” --- this is just our style preference (no comma before ‘and/&’) and makes it consistent across all of our materials. TY!
ADDRESS (both at bottom and on connect page):

Periods for phone number is perfect as is.

Okay, all good feedback with one big wish (… of course!) – while the video feed on the landing page is a cool feature, he’d really like a slider that features what we have going on. He really loves this site<https://www.jesuittampa.org/>, with clickable slides (theirs clicks only on the text though). We agree they have too many slides, but see ourselves utilizing maybe five. I know our diocese<https://www.dosp.org/> has something similar, I thought you guys built their site but am not seeing the tag at the bottom. Can we do this??

I'm glad to hear that there was all good feedback. That's no problem, we can make it a slider instead if that's how you guys can see yourselves utilizing it better.
I think we just need to keep in mind that we want to keep News posts in the post area and have high quality images and call to action text up in the header to keep that nice first impression.
We can have 5 good high resolution images and some text up there, with a button potentially, for jumping off points and calls to action.
This is something we can definitely handle on the development phase of the project. So if we do have the green light to move on to the next step of the project I can send you on the official design approval email. If you have any questions or need anything else before than let me know, or I can send that out to you if you are ready for that.
