Development Link & Training
Good morning Alisa,
We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.
First, I wanted to go over the missing content from the website and then get into the training and development site.
Things We Need From You
We still need the following items from you. Please let us know if you will be sending them or if you'd like us to remove them from the site.
- Do you have a form that you would like to be used for the 'Stay Connected' area above the footer on the site?
- Would you like to add the "Need a Priest" button & form like the one that can be seen here?
Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email.
During the training sessions, we go over:
- How to edit the homepage content
- How to edit the footer
- How to edit the menu
- How to create/edit inner pages
- How to create/edit posts
- How to create/edit image galleries
- How to create/edit online forms
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into two sessions:
Session 1: Editing the site basics
Session 2: Editing the additional site features & answering follow-up questions
This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.
Development Site Link
Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development!
There are some other big items that we are still working on, such as:
- Logos
- Landing Page
Other than that, if you see anything that alarms you (design or functionality), please let me know and we can address your concerns.

My first “glimpse” of the new website was very exciting! Thanks for all the work the team put into it.
Here are my responses to your queries:
* I like the Contact Us page you sent a link to, but we do not want a Need a Priest button
* Training dates that would work for me: any time Friday, Jan. 8 or Monday the 11th or Tuesday the 12th
The Landing Page looks good, except I would change the Pacelli photo to image: Grandparents_20181019_1005 (attached)

I am writing to make you aware of a new request regarding our logo. This is one of those things that I didn't anticipate until now. Please bear with me as I explain the issue. Thank you for both being so helpful throughout this process.
Our new logo becomes "effective" on April 2 when our new church website goes live. We are pairing the roll out of our new logo with the launch of the new website. Here is the problem: if you go to the school website, I need a version of our new logo to replace the one that is currently in use there. I spoke with the principal of the school and she would basically like to "recreate" the new logo in the current colors (realizing it will be a rectangular shape instead of a circle). So, I am reaching out to you to let you know that we need another version. This would be the combined church and school logo in blue text on a white background with an orange border (again, matching the colors in the current one). Also, I spoke with the administrator/host of the school website and he said he needs this image as a hi-res transparent png file at least 300px tall.
Finally, the principal would also like a set of the logos in blue text. That would mean the text & tower in blue. I have not been able to identify the pantone color so we will just have to "wing it" there.
I hope this all makes sense. Please let me know if you have questions. We wouldn't need this additional logo until the end of March.
