Good Afternoon Alisa,
I hope you have been doing well since you last spoke with Danae!
My name is Cody Armock and my role here in Diocesan's web department is as a content specialist. This means, that in addition to going over what areas of your current website are staying or going, I also help you find the most effective way to layout your website. I will be helping you in this process from now until the training before the launch of the site.
This not only helps us build you a website that is easier to edit and manage but also allows anyone visiting your website to accurately and consistently find the information for which they are looking.
Below are links to Google documents of your current and proposed sitemap. The current sitemap shows your current site's menu structure and flow. The proposed sitemap is what we suggest for your menu based on our previous experience and what would work best in terms of usability. The proposed sitemap is created to optimize the flow and look of your site.
You can edit the proposed sitemap however you would like, adding pages, removing pages, etc. The proposed sitemap will act as a guide for the content migration process. Please edit the document directly to ensure that the same edits stay throughout all versions and that the content migration process is accurate.

Hi Cody,
I have finally reviewed the prosed sitemap. Before I make any edits to the document, I have some questions:
* Which part exactly is the homepage content? It's hard for me to tell what the proposed homepage content is.
* I believe one of our key homepage requirements would be a "news & events" type section that we would be able to update. We have that now, and I don't see anything like that listed on the proposed map.
Tomorrow I am having a meeting to get feedback from VIPs here. After that meeting & once I hear back from you, I will be able to make edits to the proposed sitemap.

That is definitely something to bring up in the design meeting tomorrow with Danae! I did not put the homepage content on there since we were not 100% on the design yet, but with the design that the parish is based off most of it will be pointing to other pages on the website.
In the trainings, later on, we will go over how to edit the homepage where you will be able to change the links and things there. I am sure that Danae will be able to add a News & Events section. The sitemap is more for the layout of the site and the menu structure. I hope this helps answers those questions.

I just wanted to make sure that the proposed sitemap was approved for migration. We will be starting migration very soon and we will need sitemap approval before we begin. The sitemap will act a guide for the migration, but you will be able to edit the content and structure of the website later if you want. Let me know if/when the sitemap is ready.
