Veronica,
I'm happy to help out, but do you actually need my physical presence?

Fr. Larry
Hello Father Larry,
No physical presence is necessary at all. You will only need to log into your domain settings ( I believe you use either BulkRegister or Tucows?) and update your host settings. This can be done from any location, provided that you have internet access.
Below are the instructions for the domain transfer, to be facilitated between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm tomorrow. Please let us know via email once you have made these changes.
To facilitate the transition, all you will need to do is update two host records for blessed-midland.org. Updating the domain name will point the site to the new server.
You will need to make the following changes to your domain name host records:
Change the www and @ Host records to be A Name types that point to: 104.156.48.29
By changing only the www and @ Host records, you will update the website only and not your email.
The industry standard is to say these changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate. However, it's been my experience that you can usually see these changes within 2 hours. You will know it was successful when visiting blessed-midland.org brings up the site seen here: blessedsacrament.diocesanweb.org/.
I have also copied Amy Brinkler so that she is aware of when the switch should begin.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional help making the changes.

Veronica,
I don't have ownership of blessed-midland.org. I can't change its host records. What I have is champaigncatholics.org. Would you like me to change host records for that domain to 104.156.48.29?
Fr. Larry

I am so sorry about that!
You will be changing the host records for champaigncatholics.org to:
66.232.99.21
You will know it is working once champaigncatholics.org displays the same information shown on champaigncatholics.diocesanweb.com
Again, I apologize for that mix up, Father Larry.
Thank you for your patience with me.

Veronica,
Even though champaigncatholics.diocesanweb.com shows up as having the same IP you gave me, there appears to be some issue with server configuration. Whether I plug in http://66.232.99.21 or http:champaigncatholics.org, I get the same error message, suggesting (as the most likely case) there is a server misconfiguration.

Good morning Father,
This is because we had planned on the launch happening today at 11:00 am at the earliest and have not set everything up on our end.
We will work on this now and let you know once it is up and running.
Thank you,

Your website is now successfully launched!
It will typically take anywhere from 30 minutes - 24 hours to propogate, but you should be able to see the new website now. Remember, you may have to do a hard refresh to see the changes (hold down control and click F5).
Let us know if there are any issues logging in. (https://champaigncatholics.org/urbana)
Thank you and congratulations!

Very pretty! Congratulations!
Thanks Veronica! It looks great! There are still a couple of things I'm seeing that aren't quite right. If I can change them I will, but you may have to tell me if I can do it or if you'll have to.
For instance: At the bottom of every page is the address of the parish office it should be on two lines as follows:
231 Washington Avenue
Urbana, OH 43078
Right now the only thing on the second line is the zip code.
I've tried to make the switch on the options page by typing 231 Washington Avenue <br> Urbana, OH 43078
That gets it on the lines I want, but includes extra commas that I can't get rid of. I assume that in that scenario the boxes for City, State, and ZIP need to be deleted, but I don't see a way to do that at the moment. I'll keep working on it.
Also, the calendar items that show up on the St. Mary page are the St. Michael calendar items. When you click for the full calendar it does show the correct calendar. All the other parish calendars are correct.
And finally, we want to drop the section where it says Daylight Savings Time Mass Times. We can just edit the normal Mass times as we go. It is too confusing the way it reads right now.
I've been looking and can't figure out how to change these items. Are they within my control?
Thanks!

Hello Amy,
I have a developer removing the comma and fixing the St. Mary Calendar.
Mass times are edited within the individual parish pages. If you no longer want Daylight Savings Mass times to show up, we can remove that column. That way, it will not appear on the individual church page nor on the homepage.
Does that sound good?
Thank you,

Thanks Veronica. I did figure out how to change the Mass times, but we would like you to remove the Daylight Savings Mass times from that column that would be wonderful.
Thanks again for all your help!
