Homepage Proof
Here is the proof that I have finished, Still working with the colors a bit but take a look at how the content is laid out, If anything seems confusing of to busy please let me know when we talk!
I hope I understood what you wanted with the main image at the top, I remember talking about using the cards in the main image, the only struggle I had was the swap in orientation only allowing part of the images to be visible based on the size of the areas available.

Thanks Sam,
Here's what I've got:
1. The picture of Mary you're using at the top is not the same picture we're using on the bulletin cover. We'd like to use the one on the bulletin cover. Also, I'm not a fan of the blue line under the pictures.
2. It's very important to us to use the Chi Rho in the center of the four prayer card pictures. It is Christ that holds us all together.
2. One Holy Catholic Apostolic. Apostolic is currently spelled incorrectly. And perhaps that tag line could be in a line above the pictures (Though we do like that it is curved.)
3. Next to where it says Champaign County Region of Parishes could we put a join us button, a giving button (we're working on setting up on line/electronic giving)
4. And then move the tabs into the colored line below and include tabs for Home, About, Parishes, Liturgy, Sacraments, Ministries, Catechesis, Parish Life, Contact
5. We also have Facebook and Twitter if you could get those symbols in (maybe in the same row as the Join Us and Giving buttons?).
6. Love the next section with current bulletin, Mass times, and Calendar. Will I be able to change the Mass times from my desk? I want to have the daily Mass times and only the current weekend Mass times instead of listing the normal and DST times.
7. Instead of a white background, can we do an off-white/cream background?
8. Instead of black text can we use the dark brown color of the front cover of our bulletin?
9. In the calendar block, can you make the dates in a colored block?
10. At the bottom of those three columns, can you make the texts "More Bulletins" "More Information" "Full Calendar" and can you make them in colored boxes?
11. Can the colored boxes I'm asking about and the tabs across the top be dynamic so that when you get your cursor over them they change color so you know you can click on them?
12. Can we change community news to news and events and take it out of the colored block?
13. Can we change the way the app section looks
14. Can we move the row with the church pictures to the bottom of the page and instead of using the exterior pictures of the buildings use the prayer cards. Put their name and address (without phone) on the prayer cards toward the bottom and make those the clickable links to the individual parishes. And, if they could be dynamic in that when you get your cursor over a card it moves or grows or something so you know its clickable.
15. Then, in the very bottom row colored line have the Champaign County Region of Parishes contact information (with office mailing address, phone, etc.) and the quick links
I really am happy with the start you've got. However, I'm totally in love with stmarkhr.org (http://stmarkhr.org) and most of these requests are asking if it can be more like that.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks so much!

Re: my last email and the questions about colored bars and blocks and text. The background would be cream with the brown text and the color blocks would be brown with cream text. When you hover over a block or a tab it would change to the reverse. And that brown color would be the same color as the text we're using on the front of our bulletin where it says One Holy Catholic Apostolic.
Again, I'm looking at stmarkhr.org (http://stmarkhr.org) that's a beautiful website.
The other colors we were discussing (having a color for each parish) would come into play once you clicked on that particular parish, and would function in a similar manner with a cream background and colored boxes that reverse when hovered over. So, ultimately you have a main page and it's associated pages in one color scheme and the individual parish pages each have their own individual color scheme. Does any of this make sense?
Thanks!

I have made some changes so far and have a few notes to some of the changes you're asking for, with some design standards in mind some things will work and some I will suggest to not do, so keep that in mind, If its something that's make or break it I will be happy to make the changes.

Notes
1. The picture of Mary you're using at the top is not the same picture we're using on the bulletin cover. We'd like to use the one on the bulletin cover. Also, I'm not a fan of the blue line under the pictures.
- The Image I used is pretty much the closest one I could source without using a screen grab of the current image [lower quality] if you have a version that is better quality let me know
- fixed spelling error
3. Next to where it says Champaign County Region of Parishes could we put a join us button, a giving button (we're working on setting up online/electronic giving)
4. And then move the tabs into the colored line below and include tabs for Home, About, Parishes, Liturgy, Sacraments, Ministries, Catechesis, Parish Life, Contact

- Yes you will have the ability to make changes! I will remove the DST times for the moment!
7. Instead of a white background, can we do an off-white/cream background?
8. Instead of black text can we use the dark brown color of the front cover of our bulletin?

11. Can the colored boxes I'm asking about and the tabs across the top be dynamic so that when you get your cursor over them they change color so you know you can click on them?
- We’ll always make links and buttons have a Hover effect so that the viewers experience is not confusing,
12. Can we change community news to news and events and take it out of the colored block?
- We have observed some confusion as to the functionality of a section call News & Events” We typically use the Posts section of wordpress for news and separate events to be connected to the calendar! I can explain this in better detail over the phone sometime.
13. Can we change the way the app section looks
- Absolutely! I made the app more horizontal. If you have any specific notes about the way you want it please let me know!
14. Can we move the row with the church pictures to the bottom of the page and instead of using the exterior pictures of the buildings use the prayer cards. Put their name and address (without phone) on the prayer cards toward the bottom and make those the clickable links to the individual parishes. And, if they could be dynamic in that when you get your cursor over a card it moves or grows or something so you know it's clickable.
- The Items will definitely be dynamic, but I strongly suggest keeping the front of the parishes for the pictures. We don't need to have redundant content like the prayer cards both at the top and bottom of the page. That starts to become tacky and usually to busy.
- The Buttons will not be a problem making them the clickable item to bring the viewers to each parishes specific page.
15. Then, in the very bottom row colored line have the Champaign County Region of Parishes contact information (with office mailing address, phone, etc.) and the quick links.
I hope this makes sense because of all my colors. I will work on finishing up the rest of the changes for you and send a new copy to you tomorrow!
Thanks,
Samuel Lanning

I think I understand everything you're telling me, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do.
I think we'll take some new pictures of the churches, maybe interior instead of exterior for that bottom row of picture links.
Also, I can't remember if I sent you these pictures of the prayer cards or if you got them from the bulletin, but I've attached them all. Maybe you can do something with the St. Mary card.
Finally, and I don't know that this matters, our conversation here shows up as "View all your conversations about Champaign County Cluster-Urbana, FL. We're in Urbana, OH.
Thanks again!

Thanks for sending me the images! I also fixed the location issue, everywhere else it was OH, it must have been a mistake when the project was made. Thanks for pointing it out to me!
I will have the updated proof for you soon!
Thanks,

Hi Sam,
We're taking pictures of the parishes for the web page. The pictures will replace the exterior pictures you had in that bottom row. Attached below are the new pictures for St. Mary and Sacred Heart. I'll send you the other two as soon as I have them.
Thank you!

Sorry Sam,
Here are the attachments for St. Mary and Sacred Heart to replace the exterior church pictures. I'll send the other two as soon as I have them.
This afternoon we'll be looking at the pages you sent yesterday, and I'll let you know our feedback.
Thanks so much!

Wonderful! thank you
I also wanted to run an idea by you.
A hover effect for the images at the bottom of each alter.
Each image would be desaturated at the bottom
When hovering on each item the color would return to give the user a distinct signal when they are on each item.
