Catholic Charities - Venice, FL

Website and Estimated Timeline Proposals

Good afternoon Kirsten and Clint,

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us today.  I believe we were able to come up with a good game plan once we dug deeper into your timeline and hopes for a new website.

Using the St Celine Hybrid (https://celine.hybrid.diocesanweb.org/) allows you to do everything you stated you wished your current website could do.  The St Celine Hybrid was built for the purpose to give options on how to present and update content.  In the hero section, you can choose from a single image, slider, or video.  Just below the hero section are 4 jump-off buttons that can be used to promote 4 key items.  Each section below is adaptable to the content you want.  Prior to the launch of the website, you will be trained on how to maintain and update your website.

I am also attaching an estimated timeline.  This estimated timeline is based on our discussion for a soft launch and utilizing our rush fee to move to the front of our queue.  It will be vital to reply to any questions and give the necessary approval immediately to stay on track.  If there are any feedback delays, the rush fee would still be applied as the project was made a priority and placed at the top of our queue.

If you have any questions or wish to speak about any details, please let me know.  I will be out of the office next week (July 4th-8th), but I have cc'd Arthur in this email.  Arthur will be able to go over any questions or information you would need.

Thank you!

Good afternoon Clint and Kirsten,

I hope you had a great 4th!

Last week I was out on vacation, but I wanted to quickly touch base.  I know you just started looking over our proposal, but I was curious if there are any initial questions?  Don't hesitate to let me know how I can help.

Thank you!

Good afternoon Kirsten and Clint,

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us the other day.  We were able to get a lot more insight into what you are needing and wanting in your new website.  At Diocesan, we use a consultative approach.  Having these meetings to learn more about your organization, and your needs, allows us to create a website that works with you.

I have updated the proposal based on our last conversation, and the additional functionality that would be needed for your website.  Each of these are also noted on the proposal:
  • Calendar - Your current website is using a plugin called MyEventOn.  After doing some research, we found that this plugin was purchased.  Having purchased the plugin, there are a lot of different options that can be used.  We would gladly walk through this plugin with you and go over the functionality.
  • Utilizing Google Maps to find a service and/or office.  This would be very similar to the Diocese of Venice's find a parish.  The user can input their location and a list of offices w/in their selected range will populate, and showcase what services are available.
  • Analytics: We did research to find a plugin that would work with Microsoft.  The first option was Clarity, which is a free option.  However, based on when the last update took place, and the tested version of WordPress, we found this to be a very risky option.  We can't determine how this would work with the newest updates of WordPress.  There is a plugin called AIOSEO that has a built in connection with Clarity.  This option was updated very recently, and with the most recent version of WordPress.  There is an annual charge of $100 for AIOSEO.  There was a final option called HotJar.  This was stated as free, however, if you wanted to view the data of 35 users there was a cost, and it increased as you wanted to view more users.
After reviewing this information, and the proposal, let me know if you have any additional questions.  Additionally, if you and Clint have thought of more ideas, let me know those as well.  We can schedule another Zoom meeting to discuss these options, you can send me a response with any additional information and questions, or if everything looks good a signed proposal would start the process.

Thank you!

Hi Alan,

Thanks very much for this--I appreciate it.

I noticed I was the only one on the recipient list--did you email Kirsten too?

I'll touch base with her this week to see what she's thinking regarding a path forward.

I really appreciate your time and willingness to field questions.

Good morning Clint and Kirsten,

I hope all has been well.  Since it has been a couple of weeks, I wanted to follow up with the updated proposal.  So that you don't have to go back through emails, here is my email, and the proposal is attached.  Let me know your thoughts, and/or any questions you might have.
