Current & Proposed Sitemaps

Hello Lisa,

I have gone through Nathalie's consultation notes and taken a look at your website in order to strategize your content. The links below go to the current and proposed sitemaps.
  • You can make changes to the proposed sitemap and can view the current sitemap.
  • You can also make comments on certain elements, for clarification or if you have a question by highlighting that element and clicking the circular button on the right edge of the page that has a plus sign. We will be able to see those and can answer any questions there if needed.

Feel free to edit the proposed sitemap as needed and let us know when you are done going through them.

Good morning Lisa,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend with great weather!

I was curious as to if you'd gotten the chance to go over your current and proposed sitemaps yet.

The developer has nearly completed building your website out and is waiting on content approval and your first training session before tying up the loose ends.

Please let us know when you have loooked over the sitemaps.

If you have any questions about the sitemaps or design, feel free to call us here at 877-923-0777. If I am unavailable, you can also ask for Cody, as he will be the primary content strategist on your website.

Thanks again, Lisa,

Good morning Lisa,

I got your voicemail about the proposed sitemap and just wanted to let you know that within that document, you can edit the document directly but we do have a folder for you to upload images to:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LxE7izliUjUHLX6sHRCxfrWFeF0Vk2Ag?usp=sharing

Typically, people will either add images and rename the images to match the page title or they will create a folder for each page that is going to have multiple images. It is up to you.

Also, with two people out, I can imagine your time has been stretched thin. Did you want us to wait on migrating the content until the others are back in the office?

I should be at my desk until 10 am and from 2:30-4:30 pm. If I am not at my desk, feel free to ask for Cody. He has also been working with your sitemap and is familiar with your content.

Thank you,

Veronica Alvarado

Hi Veronica, yes if we could wait to migrate I would appreciate it. I need to have meeting with them regarding arrangement. There are some ministries that overlap as far as whether they are service ministries or social gathering ministries and I need some input. I appreciate your help. I will also start locating good photos.
Lisa

We will wait on the migration then. Not a problem at all.

Thanks again, Lisa.

Hi Lisa,

It has been a month since we last spoke and I was wondering if you'd had the chance to go over your content and if you are ready to give Diocesan the go-ahead to begin migrating content based on the sitemap shown here:

Please let us know and we can get that content moved over and get the website one step closer to launching.

Hi Veronica, I think this is close, one question the lines that are highlighted, will they be removed? Also I am going to have the ministry leaders take one more look at it, we have had a lot of position changes and there may be some more line edits as far as the ministries offered, especially Youth. We are in Hurricane Watch right now so office is closed today and tomorrow, I am the only one here. I appreciate your patience.

Lisa,

I hope everything is going well down there. I grew up in Houston, so I definitely know all

We ask that you leave the highlighted comments since we actually use this proposed sitemap to mark which pages we have created on the new website and which pages we should not migrate. So the pages that you marked as pages to remove will not be brought over.

Definitely have your team take a look at it. Then, just let us know and we can begin moving the content!

Thank you,

My message sent before I was done typing, so to clarify, I know all about what it's like during hurricane season. I definitely don't know all, haha!

Ah! I lived outside of Houston in Dickinson, TX for a short period of time. Never had to go through a hurricane there but my brother was there during Gilbert.

We are expecting (hopefully) tropical storm winds at the worst, I hope it moves further east than they predict, I have had a LOT of trees removed from my property but live in pretty heavily wooded neighborhood and it is always a nightmare waiting for them to come down.

Praying for the poor people in the Bahamas, what a beating they have taken : (

Peace!

My parent's friend lives over in League City, so I know exactly where Dickinson is. We lived in Houston during Allison, Ike, and Rita. I've had friends in Galveston that had trees do worse damage than any flooding, so I'm praying your trees stay strong and upright.

We also have everyone in the path of Dorian on our prayer board here at Diocesan, so we're praying for y'all's safety.

Stay safe, Lisa!

Good morning Lisa,

I just wanted to follow up with you see how things were going and to check where we are at with the sitemap and the images and content for the website.

Hi Cody, if I give you the go ahead to start migrating content, do we still have opportunity to make edits to the copy in the future? Not the web design itself just the menu items etc (words). I talked to my co-workers, we are all so slammed it is difficult to give this the attention it deserves on our end, but I can definitely start gathering photos. If we are able to adjust it later I think we should go ahead and proceed with migrating it. Let me know what you need me to do…. Click on something to give the okay?
Lisa
TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan

Hi Lisa,

I completely understand how busy Parish Life can be. You can absolutely make changes to the copy in the future. The website we create is meant to be updatable and adaptable. The web design and major functionality will not be able to change, but the menus, posts, pages, ordering, parts of the homepage, images, etc. will all be able to edit later on. We will cover how to do all those things in training, but that is still a little ways off. I hope that helps clarify your questions!

All you have to do is tell me that the sitemap is ready to go and we can begin migrating the content to the new site.

Thank you,

Cody Armock
