Domain Transfer

Good morning,
I have a note that after the launch we should transfer the domain to Diocesan - you still want to do that, correct?  I can get started on it now that the website is launched, if you'd like - it's an easy process - virtually nothing to do on your end of things!  Let me know if it's ok with you for me to start that process.

If you're interested in the process  - here is a brief explanation (or, not so brief!) just so you'll know what to expect:

I log into GoDaddy and "unlock" your domain (allow it to be transferred) and then I retrieve a code and I enter that code in our eNom account to start the process.  Usually within a day or so I can then log back into GoDaddy and "push" the process along a little by approving the transfer (when possible) and at the most, I expect it will completely transfer within 5-6 days.  You may get an email letting you know the domain request has been received - usually you can ignore that.

Once I see it in our eNom account, I then switch over the nameservers to use eNom's nameservers instead of GoDaddy - I try to do this late afternoon because it can occasionally result in a short period of the site being "down" or emails not getting through - so I try to do that at night when it affects you the least.  Typically, though, there's no downtime at all and the transfer goes through without any problems.

After that, you can close out your GoDaddy account if you don't need it - and your domain will be in our eNom account, renewed automatically, and you'll just be billed the $15 yearly for the domain along with your yearly web hosting fee.
