The content migration is determined by the Proposed Sitemap. Cody will be training you and can help you move things around if needed after he does the initial migration.

My main question is about the timing because I make updates to both sites daily. I'm wondering if I need to keep a list of the things I'm changing in case I make the update after that part of the site is migrated? Or if there is a more specific timeframe.

Good Morning Allie,

It would be good to keep a list of changes/updates to the site that you make. Are the updates that you make just for Gospel Reflections or news articles or are they more on any given page? That would also be good to know. I will be finishing up with the Church today and be starting on the school right after.

We have finished the content migration for the websites and the project is now in testing. After the initial testing phase, we will send out the link to you and get training scheduled. That should happen by the end of this week I would think.

Hello Allie,

Once we complete the first training, we will send user accounts to those who need them and you will then be able to go in and edit the development site up until the day of the launch which is usually a couple of weeks out from the first training. You can use that time to make any needed content updates, additions, tweaks, etc. since after the initial content migration we do not add any further content.

Hi Cody,

I was reviewing our original site maps and realized on our parish site the "Register" or "Parish Activities" page was not included.

Can we add a page as the top drop-down under "Get Involved" that is titled "Sign Up"?

The header text can say:

There are so many ways to get involved at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish. Learn more about all of our parish ministries and volunteer opportunities here (https://brigidchurch.diocesanweb.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities/), or use the links below to sign up for current activities.

Also, on the sign up box on the parish site, I plan to change that section around. We can discuss on Tuesday during the training, or if you have template pages or ideas please let me know. I'd like to remove the contact/fill out form, and instead have button links to the email sign up, Contact Us, Livestream, and Bulletins link. Just a way to feature quick links to pages that are often looked for.

Hello Allie,

I am not sure what you mean by "Register" and "Parish Activities" not being included. I do not see them on the Current Sitemap nor the Proposed Sitemap for the Church Site. So I am not sure.

I added a Sign-Up Page below the Get Involved dropdown.

 There are also links within the email sign-up form on the Homepage, so I am not sure what you are referring to with that either, but we can discuss these things on Tuesday in the training too.

Hi Cody,

I wanted to check in to see when we should get our next training scheduled, and a rough timeline of what it will take to make the sites live.

I just got a message from Network Solutions, who hold our domains, that our security settings are getting close to expiration, and that if we don't renew our sites will be flagged as unsecure. I assume you will need all Network Solutions info to transfer the sites over to the correct domain, but I don't completely understand how this process works.

Good Morning Allie,

At this point, I could do a training over any questions you have and about Gravity Forms and Envira Gallery any time next week Monday - Thursday after 9:30 am (EST), so just let me know a day and time that works for you.

We could schedule the launch now for about a week out from the second training, so if the training is next Monday, November 8th, we could schedule the launch for the 15th. We just like to have the launch between Monday and Thursday, so we have another day in the office to answer any questions before the weekend.

We will need the login information for the domains for the launch process and then we will move the domains after the launch over to us, as we have found that usually works better.

Before we can launch the sites, I have a few webpage updates I still need to make, and also on the list are the photo galleries, google calendars, and pulling over all Posts and making sure the categories feed to the correct area.
