Training and Launch
Good Morning Joe,
As we are now quickly approaching the new launch date, I wanted to get a hold of you to set up a training date.
The training will typically take ~2 hours and will cover how to edit the website. Does this Thursday work for you? I am available to begin a training any time from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, EST. If Friday works better for you, we can do that, but would prefer to give you at least a full day for you to log into the website and make your own edits. It is only after the training that we can give you access to log in and edit.
Of course, a website's content is never completely "finished," as a parish is constantly evolving, and adding events and ministries, but I have already brought over your current website's content. Since I have already added this content, as well as expanding some of your pages' content, I do believe the website should be pretty much good to launch to the public this Friday.
Other than the training, my biggest concern is the actual DNS switch/cutover to the new website, but we have already discussed that with Diocese of Venice in the past. Since we have worked with them regularly this year, this should not take any time at all.

Joe, the email domain works separately from the website domain.
Most everyone at St. Bernard has both a .com and .org for their mailbox. We did this to make the transition smoother and so folks wouldn’t miss any messages.
Paulette, if you would like to continue shifting to making the .org primary for everything (web and email) I would say you publish the .org over the .com.

For some detailed background:
The newest Parish staff have only one email address, and those are .org. They never had a .com address so nothing to do for those folks.
Those that have been there for a while that had a .com address had a .org alias added about a year ago. Since messages sent to either address go into the same mailbox, they’ve had the choice of giving out whichever address they choose.
