Website Proposal

Good morning Assumption Eagles!!!

Thank you for your patience as we worked to finalize the proposal for the school and church websites.

During our Deep Dive conversation, we received a lot of really great feedback.  It was determined that the inspiration for the new parish and school websites would be from the Chadwick School (https://www.chadwickschool.org/).  We will incorporate the ideas you had along with your branding, content, and our vision for the new websites.  When everything is finished, you will have a unique website that showcases ABMV.

I have attached the proposal for you to review.  The proposal walks through all of the phases of the project, and provides how long we estimate it will take to finish each phase.  Also, Brian Bastic mentioned with a new 6 year bulletin agreement, the church and school websites would be covered.  I have included this note on the proposal as well so you can see the full scope of the project.

We also discussed a logo for the parish that is just like the school's but will state Catholic Church.  I have included our logo and branding proposal for you.  You had mentioned that you might not have the file for the editable version of the school logo.  If you do end up finding this editable file, we can update the logo and branding proposal since this would save substantial time.

Good morning everyone,

I wanted to make sure we are all on the same page.

A few days ago I spoke with Jackie regarding a couple of requests from the parish:
  1.  On the landing page, include a button for livestream.  We can certainly add this request.
  2. Blog anti SPAM that is similar to your current Akismet plugin or that particular option.  We did find an Akismet plugin, but it is a paid option.  However, we still have reservations regarding this option.  If you would like to meet with Arthur, Cody, and me we can discuss our concerns.
I also spoke with Donna regarding the domain name.  It sounds like the school has the information and renewal arrangement for both domain names.  Is that correct?

In summary:
  • The school handles the domain renewal, and will continue this process, correct?
  • If Jackie and/or Fr Tony want to discuss the blog discussion aspect and anti SPAM, let me know when you would be available.
