Clarification on Homepage Design

Good afternoon!

I wanted to reach out to you all and get some clarification from you on the "A Day In The Life At Assumption" section of the Homepage. I am adding a screenshot of the section at the bottom of the email for your reference. Do you want that gallery to be an Instagram Plugin? This will be extra time and expense. Or do you want it to be a Gallery that you choose which images appear on the Homepage? This will not be an added expense. I will try to break down any other pros and cons I can think of to help you make the best decision for your school.

Pros and Cons for Instagram:
Pros:
  • Do not have to worry about updating it, it is pulled from your account.
Cons:
  • Added expense
  • You will lose the ability to pick and choose what appears on your Homepage
    • i.e. if you post an advertisement on Instagram, it will appear on the Homepage and may not look good because it is an image with words on it
Pros and Cons for Normal Gallery:
Pros:
  • No additional expense
  • Control over what images are used on the Homepage gives you a greater advantage in marketing smiling faces or engaging activities
Cons:
  • If you want to update your images in this section, it will be manual (though fairly easy and quick) but not automatic

Good morning,

Your site was just moved into the Development Stage late last week. How long this stage takes is hard to estimate because of other issues that may arise that need to be addressed by the developer. It can be safe to say it will take a month or more because of their other responsibilities. I hope this helps, we are not far enough to give a firm estimation yet. 

If there is a deadline that just arose or you feel that we need to be aware of, please let us know. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
