Domain Transfer

Hello Veronica & Fr. Dennis,

You have let us know that you would like your stannchurchwpb.org domain to be transferred to Diocesan.

There are two ways that we can go about doing this:
  1. Provide Diocesan with your domain login credentials and we will initiate the transfer OR
  2. Your current domain owner can initiate the transfer

1. Provide Diocesan with Login
Below are the things we need for the login:
  • Login URL
  • Username/email
  • Password
Once Diocesan has initiated the transfer, you will still need to send Diocesan the Authorization (EPP) code (emailed to domain owner).  If you believe that there will be an issue with this, please let us know.

2. Client Initiates Domain Transfer
  1. Unlock your domain
  2. Send us the Authorization (EPP) Code
  3. Send to email webdepartment@diocesan.com
  4. Diocesan requests transfer
  5. You confirm the transfer
  6. Transfer complete!

Let us know if you have any questions or are having trouble finding who your current domain owner is.

Thanks for reaching out Mary. I believe our current domain owner has already inquired about this, we just need to let him know to unlock the account and provide you with that code. I have cc’d him to this email.

TO THE CLIENT Mary Goeldel, Diocesan
Thank you, Veronica -
He's welcome to send the EPP code anytime and I can request the transfer on our end - if he could forward the email to webdepartment@diocesan.com when it arrives, that would be wonderful.

Also, we don't expect there to be any issues during a transfer, and normally all of the host records and nameserver settings carry through without issue, but we do suggest that before starting the transfer that they take screenshots of the host records, especially if you have email set up using your domain, just as a precaution.  That way, we'll have a record of all of the settings just in case something doesn't transfer correctly.  It's a safety measure, and 99% of the time there's no issue at all, but it gives us a way to put the records back in place quickly if something should not fully transfer during the process.  If he could do that, we would be all set, and he could email the screenshots along with the EPP/transfer code, if that works for him.

Thank you so much for your help with this!
