My name is Danae Chudy and I am the web designer at Diocesan that will be working with you on your new web project. I am reaching out to let you know that we are nearly ready to begin the design process.

In order to begin the design process, we need from you:

A logo
Any details about your branding, (example: font names and colors used)
I saw in our notes that you chose this as your color scheme. I'm just making sure we still want that as your color scheme?

Attached, please find the logo. The color scheme was quickly done during the in-depth meeting, and we liked the color scheme, but not necessarily “married to it.” They were working off of colors of the logo online on our bulletin.

Believe me, I am not a fan of the logo. I think we were going to use the logo without the words next to it and try finding a font that would stand out on the website. The initial team didn’t like the words on either side of the logo. Actually the color scheme looks better than I thought. I will try to gauge some other responses from leadership and let you know.

It was the “senior” of the group and the pastor – so I take that into account. Can we make the gold a touch darker (I think that would get rid of the washed out comment. I think the red is alright, but maybe the next touch darker….

Yes, I do agree. We try to stay with logo colors but the logo is so bright. (:

I made the yellow a few shades darker and the red one shade darker. What do you think of that?

The color scheme works. I just had the question on the logo. Is that the one we are using? Or is that still being worked on? I know the initial team that talked to us was saying they didn’t like the words by the cross and possibly looking for a different font? I don’t know, I am just remembering conversations… Help!

Yes, we usually prefer a logo font next to the icon instead of around the icon. Would you like me to mock something up for you? I can keep it similar because the font itself is clean... it's just the orientation that is the problem.
