Good morning, Marybeth -

My name is Mary and I am the support person in the web department at Diocesan.  I see the design for your new website is approved - that's exciting!  I like to check in well ahead of launch to make sure you know where your domain lives and that it can be accessed.

It looks like your domain is with FastDomain, possibly through Bluehost?  Were you planning to transfer your domain to Diocesan for safekeeping?  

In order to launch, we must have one of the following:
  1. Domain login information
  2. Domain contact information
    By default, we will contact them 1 week in advance to schedule your launch date and provide them with any further instructions. 
Domain Login Information
If you would like Diocesan to facilitate the  launch for you, we ask that you please send us the following information:
  • Name of Hosting Company
  • Login URL
  • Username/Email
  • Password

Domain Contact Information
If you have internal or contracted IT services that you would like us to direct in the launch process, we ask that you please send us the following information:
  • Name of IT Company (if any)
  • Name of Individual
  • Email of Company/Individual
  • Phone Number of Company/Individual
  • Account Privileges (if any)

I probably overreact to timing because I do not know how all of this really works. Father Zehler did ask me yesterday, if I knew when we would launch. I told him I would check on this. Thanks.

Oh, not a problem at all, I appreciate the quick response - sometimes the domain information/login at a church can get "lost" over time so we like to check on it early.  I'll check with Cody to see where we are at with respect to a launch date - he'll have that information but I believe he's in a training right now so I'll catch him when he's out.

Also, we do plan to migrate your domain to Diocesan, I believe?  Because it's Bluehost, I'll probably wait to transfer until a day or two after we launch your new site - they are usually very trouble-free with domain migration so we can wait and do it right after the new site is up.  Sometimes if we are close to an expiration date, or we know it's a difficult migration we try before launch, but in this case we should be fine to wait until the new site is launched!

I'll get back with you on a projected launch date once I get ahold of Cody.  Thank you again!
